A few weeks ago we were going to deliver a table and seats to Staveley and so decided to make a trip of it and stay the night.
We left in beautiful weather and first of all had to deliver a chair to people in Clarkville just out of Christchurch.Geoff who bought the chair had been a pupil at Otematata District High School – so Murray and I had a great time ” remembering when”.
We then travelled down to Methven where we stayed the night in a motel – had a delicious seafood pizza a few wines and watched the cricket.
The next day we set off for Staveley and promptly got lost!! This should have been familar territory as we used to stay at Staveley with cousins every Christmas when we were kids!!
Eventually we found our way – what lovely people – two delightful little boys and two bengal cats. The cats had a great time exploring our car while Murray was assembling the furniture – apparently bengal cats are very inquisitive – their colouring and marking was amazing.
After a delicious morning tea we were on our way back home – it was a lovely break away – and one of the best parts is meeting nice people.
Think we can safely say “these won’t blow away”!!!!
